چکیده

Paper-based diagnostics offer a promising alternative to traditional diagnostic methods for point-of-care use due their low cost, ease of use, portability, rapid results, versatility, and environmental impact. While paper-based serology tests in the form lateral flow assays can provide test results past pathogen exposure, they currently lack accuracy sensitivity offered by molecular such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP)—an nucleic acid (NAAT)—provides PCR-like performance while simultaneously reducing instrumentation assay complexity associated with PCR. In this review, we discuss newly emerging class LAMP platforms that integrates versatility paper microfluidics NAATs. Since its first adoption 2015, have discussed all terms substrates, reagent incorporation techniques, platform design, heating hardware, detection methods, specificity assays. We conclude identifying current challenges future prospects

Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification ( LAMP ) Test – a Novel Nucleic Acid Based Assay for Disease Diagnosis

Received: Revised: Accepted: 2014–05–26 2014–07–14 2014–07–15 Disease diagnosis is of crucial importance in making appropriate therapeutic decisions. Conventionally, diagnosis was based on isolation and identification of the causative agent. This was followed in timeline by the development of serological tests. Nowadays, molecular tests credited with high sensitivity like polymerase chain react...

Electric LAMP: Virtual Loop-Mediated Isothermal AMPlification

We present eLAMP, a PERL script, with Tk graphical interface, that electronically simulates Loop-mediated AMPlification (LAMP) allowing users to efficiently test putative LAMP primers on a set of target sequences. eLAMP can match primers to templates using either exact (via builtin PERL regular expressions) or approximate matching (via the tre-agrep library). Performance was tested on 40 whole ...

Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) for the Rapid Diagnosis of Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (HSV-1)

Background and Aims: considering difficulties in usual laboratory methods in detection of viral infections, improved DNA-based diagnostic techniques are more reliable. Loop mediated isothermal amplification method (LAMP) is a nucleic acid amplification method that amplifies DNA using six primers which has been developed to diagnose viruses as a rapid and high efficiency test. In this study, the...
